246/365.

Tuesday, September 3rd.
A few days ago, I realized that September was approaching, which meant Fall was approaching,
which meant Summer was almost gone, and then I realized something even more monumental -
you had never played with sidewalk chalk before! So chaos ensued in the form of two boxes of chalk being dumped out, the driveway being covered in scribbles with an attempt to cover yourself in scribbles too, and lots of pictures and
video being taken. A good time was had by all and I think we'll have to bring out the chalk more often.

Wednesday, September 4th.
It had been a lousy day, you woke up from your nap, and Papa wasn't going to be home in forseeable future so I though 'what the heck' and we picked up a slice of cake and went to the zoo. It was the most genius idea I've had in a long time.
It turns out that if you go to the zoo on a weekday just a few hours before they close,
you'll pretty much have the whole place to yourself.

Thursday, September 5th.
Papa and I are always joking about how dirty you look, like all the time, even if we just gave you a bath
and brushed your hair. See, you inherited Mama's unruly hair and adventurous spirit, and those two are a recipe
for disaster when it comes to a clean looking kid, but a match made in heaven for a happy kid - so I'll take it.

Friday, September 6th.
We went out for Indian food with Ian, Allie, and Ezra -
you thought you'd be clever and pack yourself up in the to-go box.

Saturday, September 7th.
We drove up the mountain a bit to take Ezra's 18 month pictures,
and you encountered your first pile of dry leaves. I love how curious, yet wild you are.

Sunday, September 8th.
I turned the screen around on the camera so that you could see yourself.
You started copying every face I would make, so I snuck in a few pictures.

Monday, September 9th.
You've started to think it's really funny when we take things and put them where they aren't supposed to go then ask, "Does your diaper go here, on your head?"
This time you nodded yes and wore it as a hat for a good 10 minutes, saying 'hi, cheese!'

  1. These are great! Isn't side walk chalk fun :) Your little girl is really growing up that second photo especially she's looking less like a baby. Love the photo of the two of you as well.
