03/52.

01.15.2014

One of the things I love about you is your unwavering curiosity - you are determined to learn. We've never lived in a place where much happened outside our windows. We've been here for just a few weeks and this has already become your morning routine. You are so interested in the world and you love to people watch. Sometimes you and I sit in front of the window together and I tell you about all of the things we can see. You point out the 'buhsh' (bus) when it drives by and you squeal with excitement when you spot someone walking their 'dog-dog' or a stroller with a 'bee-bee' inside. You're especially ecstatic when a 'woah woah' drives by (fire truck, ambulance, police car, etc). The past few days have been spent watching snow fall from the sky. Before you were a part of my days, I hardly ever thought to even look out the windows. You bring so much meaning and beauty and a whole new way of looking at things to our days.

  1. Love the way she holds her feet... and you can nearly see her thoughts about everything going on outside! So excited about your new adventure! Lovely Evangeline!

    1. She's done that since she could sit up by herself - always crossing her feet. Or standing on her tip toes!

    1. We're actually staying in my sister's apartment right now, but we're enjoying it just the same. ;) Looking forward to a place of our own, but we're trying to get a few things in line first.

  4. Love that you've recorded all the funny lil ways she says words. That'll be so precious to look back on. And amen to that last line. Children do bring such meaning and beauty to our lives.

    1. Thanks, Kylie! I kind of think all creatives are people watchers - I know I am and I have a feeling Ev will grow up to be the artistic type.
