We've been staying with some friends of ours, watching three kids during the day while they're Mama is away. It's been interesting, not only because I'm not used to watching so many kids at once, but also to see your reaction. While you've loved the extra attention that you get from them, you seem to snuggle in extra tight and to cling to me a bit more when we're alone. Seeing you in this setting, with three kids older than you around, has definitely swallowed up any baby fever I had building inside of me. Though you can run, climb, jump, and even talk like a big kid these days, I can still see a baby in you. I'm so appreciative of the opportunity to pour myself into you every day and to not be torn between you or a job or you and another baby. It's just you and I for now, and I'm soaking it all up and basking in your delight. You're my favorite.

  1. beautiful images, i love the light! wow yes quite a difference having a whole crowd of kids to look after!! enjoy your time cherishing 'just one' its special and different indeed! you will know when the time is right to expand - and the joy of witnessing a sibling bond is also a beautiful thing that cant be truly understood till you see it :) xx

    1. Thank you, Kate! We've really been contemplating another one lately, but it just doesn't seem right since our lives are so hectic at the moment. Once we get settled in somewhere and get into a routine, I think we might be more open to the idea. Evie loves other kids and babies and she has such a gentle soul - I think she would be such a good sibling.

    1. Thank you! It's funny because I used to manage to catch the light like this quite often when we lived in New Mexico. I was afraid I would lose these shots when we moved away, but the sky surprised me on this day. We've been feeling quite homesick, so it was a like a little wave from NM and it made me so happy to capture it.

  3. Aww enjoy your time with her, mama. Sorry you are feeling homesick. Hope things smooth out for your family soon and you start to feel more at home!

  4. she's admirable, snow+t-shirt!!!
